Frequently Asked Questions:

Does the footbath hurt?  Not at all as the Ionic Footbath is completely non-invasive.  Some report that a slight tingling sensation is felt in their feet during the treatment.

Can children be treated?  Yes as long as there are no contraindications.  Children can be safely and effectively treated with a shorter 10-15 minute session. 

Should I eat before my footbath?  It is recommended for anyone to have a light snack before the ionic footbath to avoid feeling lightheaded.     Hypoglycemics should definitely eat before the treatment. 

Are the any contraindicatons to having an Ion Cleanse? Yes.  Pregnancy and/or breastfeeding, pacemakers or electrical implants, irregular heartbeat, active chemotherapy treatment and certain medications are some of the contraindications.     A release form must be signed and reviewed by our office before an initial foot detox is done. 

How many times should I have the treatment done?  That depends on age, current health status, and ultimate health goals.  The doctor or trained technician will discuss a program that is right for you.

What should I expect after the treatment?  The body will continue to eliminate toxins after the foot bath is completed, making extra water intake essential.  Tiredness may be experienced after the treatment, as the body needs a little time to recuperate after having toxins liberated from your system.  Healthy individuals can expect to feel lighter and experience a greater sense of wellbeing from each session.  Inquiring about nutritional supplements and/or lifestyle modifications can help to maximize the detoxification process and ensure optimal health goals are met.
